Join us in welcoming Tara Salamat, PA-C! Tara is the newest member of the medical staff of Dr. Hugh E. VanLandingham, TPCA Family Medicine Physician.
Tara has been practicing as a Certified Physician Assistant for the past eight years. She started her career locally in the Emergency Department at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, but then moved to Denver for a couple of years to work as a sole provider. Tara became interested in Family Medicine after taking on more of a primary care role for a number of patients while working in urgent care, which allowed her to form consistent patient-provider relationships. Tara attributes her success in the medical field to life experiences from living in multiple states and believes time spent in emergency medicine has given her the distinct ability to effectively treat a board patient population.
When practicing medicine, Tara always strives to treat the individual person as a whole rather than simply focusing on their medical concern or complaint, and also tries to take into account patients personal stories as part of the bigger picture.
