We would like to welcome Amber Thompson, APRN-C, DNP, to the TPCA family! Amber is the newest member on the medical staff of Drs. Hempel, Groll, and Turner.
Amber has been a practicing nurse for over 7 years and recently obtained her Doctorate in Nursing Practice with a specialty in Family Practice from South Dakota State University. As a doctoral prepared nurse practitioner, she is trained to provide holistic care focusing on health promotion, health education, and disease prevention. Amber believes strongly in shared decision-making with her patients; she feels it is her job to provide options and education so that her patients can make informed decisions about their health. Because of their shared dedication to provide quality healthcare, Amber is excited to work with Drs. Hempel, Groll, and Turner.
Amber is happily married with a wonderful son. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling (mostly to beach destinations), reading, and outdoor activities with her family.
